Everyone has seen the ads and the scams for work at home jobs. They are everywhere and the problem lately is telling the difference between the good ones and the scams. So what is a mother to do when she wants to stay home with her little one, but can’t afford to??? If you’re like me, you make it happen.Up until a year ago I was like every other single mom. I worked a 9 hour day with my son in daycare thinking that this was the only way I could support us. But there were problems. I was spending on average 3 hours a day with my son, my morale at work was extremely poor and I was missing out on the most important part of my life. Something had to change, so when my contract ended with my employer I decided to take some time off to figure things out. What I found, was support from an unlikely source and the opportunity to both work and be with my son. There are employers who will hire you to work out of your home. You do not have to be an entrepreneur. Not everyone is suited to be an entrepreneur; I know it’s not my first choice. Being an introvert it goes against my grain to stand out from the crowd. With that being said, I am becoming a lot more extroverted the longer I work from home. Partly from the freedom I now have, but also the confidence that I can make this work. I have the ability to sink or swim and the right to try. It’s not every day that you get the chance to make your dreams come true, but if you get that chance, take it! Be proactive in your own life and don’t sell yourself short. If you can work for someone at an office, you can work for them from home. You just have to be confident enough in yourself to fight for it. You may not even have to quit your current job to do it. I encourage everyone to look at their options and test the waters. You only get one chance to be a good mother.
Regards,
Kristi
I’ve been spending hours online searching for answers. I’m 20 yrs old. Just recently split from my boyfriend who lives across the country. I’ve been racking my brain from thinking of ways to support my baby to be. I’m only 4 months pregnant but I’m so worried that a job won’t hire me to work at home but, you give me hope.
hope to stay in touch,
